ግዕዝ  በአፍሪካ ቀንድ   በኢትዮጵያና  በኤርትራ በጥንት  የተመሠረተና  ሲያገለግል  የቆየ  ቋንቋ ነው። የግዕዝ  አመጣጥ  በግምት  የዛሬ  ፫  ሺህ  ዓመት  ከየመንእና  ደቡብ  አረቢያ  በመነሣትና  ቀይ ባህርን  በመሻገር  በኤርትራ  እና ሰሜን  ኢትዮጵያ  ውስጥ  ከሰፈሩ  የተለያዩ  የሳባውያን  ነገዶች  ቋንቋና  በጊዜው  ሰሜን  ኢትዮጵያ  ይነገሩ  በነበሩ  ቋንቋዎች  ዘገምተኛ  ውኅደት  ነው። በበአክሱም መንግስት ና  በኢትዮጵያ  መንግሥት  መደበኛ  ቋንቋ  ነበር።

The origin of Geez is approximately 3 thousand years ago, rising from Yemen and South Arabia and crossing the Red Sea and settling in Eritrea and northern Ethiopia, with the language and language of various Sabian tribes. It is a slow fusion of the languages ​​that were spoken in northern Ethiopia at the time.
